The following conditions regulate the use of EUC that AQU Catalunya makes available to interested parties, Catalan universities and the ministry responsible for universities.
The EUC website is divided into two applications: EUC Estudis and EUC Informes. The set of two applications is hereinafter referred to as EUC.
EUC courses includes the following services:
a) It allows interested parties to search freely for information on the quality of all the official courses taught in the universities and centres of higher arts education in Catalonia.
b) It allows access to a restricted area for people who need to consult the performance indicators of the centres and degrees of the higher education system in Catalonia, as part of their performance assessment and analysis processes.
EUC is managed by AQU Catalunya: C. d'Enric Granados, 33, 08007 Barcelona.
AQU Catalunya, with Tax ID number Q0801199A, is a public law entity of the Generalitat de Catalunya that operates under private law, in accordance with Law 15/2015, of 21 July, on the Agència per a la Qualitat del Sistema Universitari de Catalunya.
AQU Catalunya reserves the right to modify, at any time and without prior notice, the presentation and configuration of EUC, as well as the services offered and the conditions under which they are offered.
The access and use of EUC confers the status of user of the portal, and presupposes the prior reading and acceptance by the user of the terms of use published on the EUC website. Any user who accesses and uses EUC is deemed to have expressly, fully and unreservedly accepted the content of each and every one of the terms of use in the version published on the EUC website at the time of access. If the user does not agree with the content of the terms of use, they must refrain from accessing its content and using its services.

The search for information on the quality of all the official courses taught in the universities and centres of higher arts education in Catalonia does not require the user to identify themselves.
However, the user is required to identify themselves beforehand by means of their username and password when consulting the performance indicators of the centres and degree programmes of the higher education system in Catalonia, as part of their performance assessment and analysis processes. This username and password is obtained through the AQU Catalunya extranet.
The password for the registered user is personal and non-transferable, and it is their responsibility to use it appropriately and to do everything necessary to prevent access to EUC by third parties using their ID.

The user undertakes to use the services and information provided by AQU Catalunya in good faith and respecting, in any case, the generally accepted principles of use and without contravening public order or current legislation. The following, among other things, is prohibited: any form of infringement of the rights of third parties; introducing computer viruses, defective files or programs that may cause damage or harm to EUC, or using this website for commercial or advertising purposes in an inappropriate manner bearing in mind its purpose.
Likewise, the user is prohibited from any use of the content for criminal or illicit purposes or, where appropriate, with the intention to harm, impede, damage or overload in any way the normal use and operation of EUC or third parties, directly or indirectly, whatever the result. Also prohibited is the use of EUC and its content for political propaganda or for the dissemination of ideas, attitudes or actions that are xenophobic, racist and discriminatory based on race, gender, ideology, religion and, in general, which contravene or violate human rights. In any case, the dissemination of ideas or personal opinions by the user must comply with the criteria of respect and dignity towards other people, without offensive, insulting or disparaging statements or insinuations.
The user may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, adapt, modify or alter any of the content or other elements of the EUC website, unless they have been expressly authorised to do so by AQU Catalunya.

All the content of EUC (including, but not limited to, databases, images, photographs, text, audio, video and software files) are the property of AQU Catalunya. This content adequately protected by Spanish or international intellectual and industrial property regulations.
All software used in the use and operation of EUC is the property of AQU Catalunya and is protected by applicable intellectual and industrial property regulations.
The user undertakes to use the content of EUC diligently, correctly and lawfully and, in particular, agrees to refrain from using the content for purposes or effects that contravene the law, morality or public order.
Any use of the EUC tool content – including its reproduction, copying, sale, distribution, dissemination, publication, exhibition, public communication, transformation or modification – which is made without the authorisation of the holder of the corresponding intellectual and industrial property rights, or which is not legally permitted or where the authorship is not mentioned at all times, is strictly prohibited.

The personal data contained in EUC will be processed in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the protection of personal data and guarantee of digital rights and other applicable regulations.
AQU Catalunya is the controller of the processing activities involving the personal data collected online and managed through this channel. AQU Catalunya’s data processing activities are duly identified in the AQU Catalunya Record of Processing Activities.
AQU Catalunya guarantees the privacy of its online services in accordance with legal requirements and provides information on its personal data protection policy so that users may freely and voluntarily determine their willingness to provide AQU Catalunya with their data by means of the electronic form for subscription to the services offered by AQU Catalunya on its website.
AQU Catalunya guarantees the protection of the personal data provided by users and its processing in accordance with current legislation on personal data protection (Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the protection of personal data and guarantee of digital rights, and Royal Decree 1720/2007, of 21 December, approving the Regulations implementing the Law, as well as all other regulations applicable in this regard).
AQU Catalunya has adopted the legally required levels of security for the protection of personal data, and has implemented all the technical means and measures within its power to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access and theft of the personal data provided. However, users should be aware that Internet security measures are not fully impregnable.
The personal data requested from users consists solely of general identification data and that which is strictly necessary for collaboration with AQU Catalunya.
Users can exercise their rights of access, erasure, rectification and objection to the processing, portability, and restriction of the processing use and transfer of their data via the help desk form on the Agency website or in writing to AQU Catalunya, C. d'Enric Granados, 33, 08007, Barcelona.

AQU Catalunya must ensure privacy and security in the use of EUC and its services. However, AQU Catalunya is not liable for possible security errors or deficiencies that may occur due to the use by the user of an outdated or insecure version of the browser, or due to the activation in the browser by the user of password storage settings.
AQU Catalunya will not be liable for any possible damages that may arise from interference, omissions, interruptions, computer viruses, telephone faults or disconnections in the operation of this electronic system, due to causes beyond the control of AQU Catalunya, delays or blockages in the use of EUC due to deficiencies or the overloading of phone lines or overload of the Internet or other electronic systems, or for damage caused by third parties through illegitimate intromission beyond the control of AQU Catalunya. When reasonably possible, AQU Catalunya will give prior warning of interruptions in the operation of EUC and its services.
AQU Catalunya will ensure the accuracy of all the data contained on EUC, although it cannot guarantee its complete accuracy and correctness.
AQU Catalunya will ensure that its IT system (software and hardware) and the electronic documents and files stored on its IT system do not contain viruses or other harmful elements. However, it will not be liable for any damage caused to the user's IT systems as a result of the existence of these viruses or harmful elements.
AQU Catalunya accepts no liability for the improper use of EUC and its content by the user. The user will be solely liable for any infringements that may be incurred or damages that may be caused by the inappropriate use of EUC, its services or its content. AQU Catalunya is exempt from any liability. The user is solely liable for any legal, judicial or extrajudicial claim or action brought by third parties, both against the user and against AQU Catalunya, based on the user's improper use of EUC, its services or its content. The user must therefore bear all expenses, costs and compensation claimed from AQU Catalunya as a result of these claims or legal actions.
AQU Catalunya will not be liable for any damage or harm that the user may suffer as a result of errors, defects and omissions in the information provided by EUC that comes from sources other than AQU Catalunya.
